🎬 | Get started with Brokkr
On this page we help you to set the right prerequisites to get started with investing on the Brokkr platform. All you need is a supported wallet and some cryptocurrencies.
Install Metamask
In order to be ready for investing on Brokkr and enjoying the benefits of automated and diversified portfolios you need a cryptocurrency wallet. The List of wallets that are supported by Brokkr will be constantly expanded, but for now you need Metamask Wallet.
You can download Metamask Wallet for various Browsers by following this link: https://metamask.io/download/
Then just click on your new Metamask Browser Extension and follow their onboarding guide carefully, until you have setup the Wallet.
Connect Metamask to Avalanche
Brokkr usually does all the work for you. If you try to log-in to Brokkr, all these settings will be adjusted automatically.
You can connect Metamask to the Avalanche network manually by following these simple steps:
Log in to MetaMask
Click the Network drop-down
Select Custom RPC
Following Details need to be entered:
Network Name: Avalanche Network
New RPC URL: https://api.avax.network/ext/bc/C/rpc
ChainID: 43114
Symbol: AVAX
Explorer: https://snowtrace.io/ (Note: the video still uses the previous value, please be assured that snowtrace.io is the correct value).

Connect Metamask to Arbitrum One
Again, usually Brokkr does all the work for you. However, you can connect Metamask to the Arbitrum One network manually by following these simple steps:
Log in to MetaMask
Click the Network drop-down
Select Custom RPC
Network Name: Arbitrum One
New RPC URL: https://arb1.arbitrum.io/rpc
ChainID: 42161
Symbol: AETH
Explorer: https://arbiscan.io
Get Funds on your Wallet
Avalanche Tokens (AVAX)
For transacting on the Avalanche Blockchain you need it's native Token AVAX to pay for transaction fees. The good thing is that transactions are rather cheap and just for covering transaction costs you won't need a lot of AVAX.
There are several possibilities how to get AVAX on your Metamask Wallet:
USDC
For investing into Brokkr's portfolio the stablecoin USDC, issued by Circle, is needed.
People and businesses use USDC because it's a faster, safer, and more efficient way to send, spend and exchange money around the globe. Developers power their apps with USDC to provide anytime access to payments and financial services.

Always remember, that the Brokkr Investment App is operating on the Avalanche network, and that you need to make sure when you withdraw USDC from any of the services listed above you need to withdraw them to your Metamask Wallet on the Avalanche network.
If you are already fully set up on Avalanche chain and have your wallet with some funds available you can also use a decentralised exchange (DEX) to swap into USDC directly on Avalanche. Follow this link to swap from AVAX to USDC:
